Our school and our student company pursue a sustainable approach. All of our 3D printers are powered 100% by solar energy, and the remnants that inevitably arise during 3D printing are completely recycled and processed into new filament. Furthermore, we mainly work with PLA filament, which is reinforced with lactic acid, cornstarch, and other natural substances.
We can offer our prices lower than our competitors because, as a student company, we have significantly fewer costs than a regular business. For example, since we are students, there are no employee costs as we don't get paid for attending school.
A student company is a school project where students learn a lot about economic topics such as taxes, sales, product development, and much more. Students establish a student company that has the structure of a real company, including taxes, employees, sales, production, shipping, and more. Like real companies, student companies have a legal form. In our case, it is the S-GmbH.
As the name suggests, we are based at FSH, the Freie Schule Heckenbeck. Here's a brief description of our school: The Freie Schule Heckenbeck is an elementary and secondary school that promotes self-directed learning in mixed-age groups from grades 1 to 10. With about 120 students, the school offers an individual learning environment where children and teenagers can discover their strengths and potentials.
